Senior Data Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION Location: On-Site 25% of Time in New Jersey Salary: $220,000-$240,000 Employment: Full-Time Permanent Insight Global is hiring for a full time Principle Data Architect to join a leading Health Insurance Agency. This team is looking to build a centralized data platform from the ground up, and looking for this person to architect it and build it. This is the cornerstone technical hire for the data team, that blends the role of a senior architect and hands-on engineer. You will design the architecture on Azure, then personally build the pipelines to achieve the end goal, using AI assisted development and selective vendor or outsourced help to accelerate where it makes sense. This role can be remote across the US with the expectation of being in office 25% of the time. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven delivery of a centralized data platform, warehouse, or lakehouse Azure data platform experience (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Data Lake, and related services) Expert SQL and a primary engineering language, ideally Python, plus real experience designing and building production ELT and ETL pipelines and data quality frameworks Fluency with AI assisted development (actively use tools like Claude Code) Strong communication skills Healthcare Background (claims, eligibility, prior authorization, or pharmacy and Rx data) NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience in a regulated environment such as HIPAA or HITRUST Salesforce data extraction at scale (Salesforce data model and pulling data out reliably via APIs such as Bulk API or CDC into an external platform.) We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
