Senior Data Consultant Location: Coventry - Hybrid working (TBC) Working Pattern: This position may involve working at the Leamington Spa site Start Date: ASAP Contract Rate: £585 per day inside IR35 Duration: 12 months initially Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Consultant to work with CXO-level stakeholders to define and deliver an enterprise data strategy that supports business priorities and AI readiness. This strategic role combines business, technology, and data governance, with responsibility for shaping the operating model between business functions and the Chief Data Office while advising on modern data platforms and AI-enabled technologies. Key Responsibilities • Define and deliver enterprise data strategy with senior stakeholders. • Design the data operating model across business, IT, and the Chief Data Office. • Establish data governance, ownership, stewardship, and prioritisation frameworks. • Assess AI readiness and recommend modern data platforms, governance, MDM, data quality, AI/ML, integration, and cloud technologies. • Advise on vendor selection and build vs. buy decisions. • Lead executive workshops, communicate complex concepts clearly, and drive a data-driven culture. Skills & Experience Essential • Proven experience advising CXO-level stakeholders. • Strong background in enterprise data strategy, governance, and operating model design. • Deep knowledge of modern data architectures and AWS/GCP cloud platforms. • Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, data engineering, and analytics. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Desirable • Experience working with a Chief Data Office. • Knowledge of GDPR, responsible AI, and data ethics. • Cloud, data governance, or AI certifications. • Experience delivering large-scale data transformation programmes.
