Senior Data Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build the AI data foundation for one of the bank's largest modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for engineering scalable customer data products, real-time data pipelines, and cloud-native data solutions that power AI agents and enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep Snowflake experience who enjoys building modern data platforms from the ground up. Required Qualifications: • Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience • Advanced Snowflake engineering experience (not Snowflake administration) • Kafka / Real-Time Streaming • ETL / ELT pipeline development • Strong SQL skills • Experience building scalable enterprise data products • Experience designing modern cloud data platforms • Ability to build from the ground up in a highly collaborative engineering environment Preferred Qualifications: • Apache Iceberg • Snowpark • Snowpipe • Snowflake Native Capabilities • JavaScript (Snowflake stored procedures/UDFs) • Modern Data Lakehouse architecture • Banking or Financial Services experience
