Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our FinOps Tools team, focusing on analyzing and preparing data for ingestion and creating highly available data products, models, and data marts in a Hadoop environment. You will play a crucial role in driving our Cloud Infrastructure Cost Management and Capacity Forecasting initiatives. Your expertise will support in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data to ensure reliability and accuracy, facilitating cross-functional team collaborations to enhance our Cloud and Infrastructure Cost Management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze and prepare data for ingestion, ensuring data governance and compliance for analytics.
β’ Develop and maintain data products, models, and data marts in a Hadoop environment.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Cloud Infrastructure Cost Management and Capacity Forecasting.
β’ Provide solutions for FinOps and Capacity Analytics through expert data engineering.
β’ Troubleshoot data issues to ensure integrity and accuracy of data.
Must-Have Skills:
β’ Proficient in programming languages like Python, SQL, Rust, and shell scripting to build and support automations and data products.
β’ Skilled in working with both on-site and cloud-based data storage solutions, including Hadoop, Snowflake, NoSQL, and others.
β’ Knowledgeable about data processing and pipeline concepts, such as ETL, ELT, and tools like Apache Airflow.
β’ Understanding of GitOps and CI/CD best practices and tools like Jenkins, as well as agile development.
β’ Experienced in managing and creating data insights and dashboards using Tableau
Domain Experience Required:
β’ Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering and DevOps within data, FinOps, or analytics-focused organizations, ideally with some experience in financial technology, capacity planning, supply chain, or data analytics environments. Familiarity with CI/CD, agile development, and the ability to create insights and dashboards using Tableau are also essential.
