Senior Data Engineer/Architect | New York, NY | Hybrid | $64 - $77/hr We're working with a $30bn global IT powerhouse and digital transformation leader on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a heavy-hitting Data Architect to spearhead enterprise-level data strategy for high-stakes financial services and banking systems. This is a mission-critical role where you will bridge the gap between complex data modeling and high-performance engineering. You’ll be architecting scalable pipelines using Snowflake, Informatics, and Power BI to drive regulatory compliance and fraud detection for one of the world's most respected financial environments. The Role • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical) for large-scale banking systems. • Architect and optimize high-volume data integration pipelines using Informatica or Talend across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake environments. • Perform deep-dive data performance engineering, focusing on SQL optimization, indexing, and partitioning for massive analytical workloads. • Build and tune Power BI semantic models and enterprise dashboards to deliver real-time insights for risk, fraud, and compliance teams. • Automate complex data ingestion and workflow orchestration using Unix Shell Scripting within an Agile framework. What You'll Need • 10+ years of high-level experience in Data Architecture, including data modeling, archival strategy, and performance engineering. • 5+ years of hands-on ETL/ELT development expertise specifically using Informatica or Talend. • 7+ years of deep technical mastery across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake platforms. • 8+ years of experience writing and tuning Advanced SQL for complex, large-scale datasets. • 5+ years of experience in Power BI dashboard creation, DAX expressions, and 5+ years of Unix Shell Scripting proficiency. • Strong background in Enterprise Data Governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking (Banking/FinTech experience preferred).
