Job Title - Senior Data Engineer Location - Remote (Continental United States Only) Employment Type - Contract (18 Months) Reference ID: 5666 Interview Mode: Virtual Interview About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid data solutions that enable advanced analytics, enterprise reporting, financial data analysis, and healthcare network adequacy initiatives. This role requires a highly skilled data engineering professional with strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering, ETL/ELT pipeline development, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI, SQL, Python, API integrations, dimensional data modeling, and enterprise data architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, analytics-ready data ecosystems that support enterprise decision-making and near real-time data processing across both cloud and on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Data Engineering & Architecture β€’ Design, architect, develop, deploy, and support scalable enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions β€’ Develop enterprise data warehouse and data mart architectures using dimensional and analytical data modeling approaches β€’ Build scalable, fault-tolerant data ecosystems supporting enterprise reporting and decision-making initiatives ETL / ELT Pipeline Engineering β€’ Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using: – Microsoft SQL Server SSIS – Azure Data Factory – Azure SQL – Azure Synapse – Microsoft Fabric β€’ Support both scheduled and near real-time data integration workflows between on-prem and cloud platforms β€’ Ensure data quality, reliability, scalability, and operational resilience across enterprise data pipelines Cloud Data Platform Development β€’ Design and support modern Azure-based data solutions leveraging: – Azure SQL – SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI) – Azure Synapse Analytics – Microsoft Fabric β€’ Support enterprise cloud modernization and analytics transformation initiatives β€’ Develop highly available and secure cloud-native data architectures Analytics, Reporting & Visualization β€’ Develop enterprise analytics dashboards, KPIs, and reports using Microsoft Power BI β€’ Build analytics-ready datasets and support executive reporting initiatives β€’ Support advanced business intelligence and enterprise analytics programs API & Integration Engineering β€’ Develop and support API-driven bulk data integrations using Azure API Manager β€’ Build scalable enterprise integration solutions connecting cloud and on-prem systems β€’ Support secure and high-volume data exchange frameworks Financial & Healthcare Analytics Solutions β€’ Design and support financial data analysis platforms and enterprise reporting solutions β€’ Support Healthcare Provider Network Adequacy analysis and analytics initiatives β€’ Build scalable analytical models supporting compliance, operational reporting, and decision intelligence Automation & Development β€’ Develop data engineering solutions using SQL scripting and Python components β€’ Support automated monitoring, orchestration, testing, and deployment processes β€’ Collaborate with technical and business teams within Agile delivery environments Mandatory Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience β€’ Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in: – Computer Science – Engineering – Information Systems – Mathematics – Technology-related discipline OR equivalent qualifying experience β€’ Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer in a lead role supporting enterprise data architecture and analytics initiatives Azure Data Engineering & Cloud Expertise β€’ 5+ years of experience designing and supporting solutions within: – Azure SQL – SQL MI – Azure Synapse Analytics – Microsoft Fabric ETL / ELT & Data Pipeline Development β€’ 4+ years of experience architecting and supporting scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using: – Microsoft SQL Server SSIS – Azure Data Factory SQL, Reporting & Analytics β€’ 5+ years of experience with SQL scripting and enterprise database development β€’ 3+ years of experience developing analytics dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI Python & API Integration β€’ 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Python β€’ 3+ years of experience supporting API-driven bulk data integrations using Azure API Manager Financial & Healthcare Analytics β€’ 3+ years of experience developing financial data analysis solutions β€’ 3+ years of experience supporting Healthcare Provider Network Adequacy analytics solutions Required Certifications Candidates must possess: Minimum Two Current Microsoft Certifications Examples include: β€’ Microsoft Azure Data Engineer β€’ Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer β€’ Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer β€’ Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Minimum One Current Data Modeling Certification Examples include: β€’ CDMP Data Modeling Specialist (DMBOK) β€’ DMI Data Modeling Certification (DMC) β€’ TDWI Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) β€’ Microsoft Data Modeling in Power BI Preferred Skills β€’ Experience supporting enterprise healthcare analytics environments β€’ Strong dimensional data modeling expertise β€’ Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud modernization initiatives β€’ Experience with fault-tolerant, high-availability enterprise data architectures β€’ Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD-based data
