Role description
Our AI-native and digital transformation consultancy client require a Senior Data Engineer to join them on the 13th July 2026 to support their AWS Lakehouse migration project with their Gambling and Sports Betting client in Warrington, Cheshire. Contract Details: • Title: Senior Data Engineer (AWS / Python / SQL). • Determination: Outside IR35. • Base: Hybrid - Warrington in Cheshire 3 days per week. • Day Rate: £550 per day. • Start Date: Monday 13th July 2026. • Duration: 3 months to start but project will last longer so extension 'highly likely'. Technical Experience required: • AWS data platform stack: S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift. • Lakehouse patterns and architecture. • Python and SQL — strong proficiency. • Experience in regulated or high-volume data environments. • Betting and iGaming industry experience highly desirable. Responsibilities: • Building and fixing data pipelines, resolving technical debt, and getting the platform to a stable, production-ready state. • Design, build, and optimise data pipelines on the AWS stack. • Identify and resolve existing technical debt in the migration. • Work collaboratively with the client's engineering team to transfer knowledge. • Contribute to stabilising the platform and hitting delivery milestones. • Support the Architect in defining and implementing the target state.
