Senior Data Engineer

Job#: 3012848 Job Description: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. If you're passionate about leveraging data to make a tangible impact, we welcome you to join us in shaping the future of our organization. • Contract: 12+ mo. • Work Environment: 2 days w/ potential for 4 days in Glendale • Pay Rate: $90 - $95 • IV Process: 3 Steps - projected started Jan 2026 The engineer will work heavily on: • Consuming data from internal APIs • Loading into (Neo4j) via Cypher • Performing set theory operations within Neo4j • Supporting and scaling a graph-based data pipeline This is not a graph modeling / architect-level role, although modeling understanding is useful. ⸻ Core Tech Stack & Must-Haves Absolutely Required • Neo4j / Graph Database Experience • Airflow (or a similar orchestration framework, but willingness to quickly adopt Airflow is required) • Python • API consumption experience (REST calls, GETs, extraction patterns) Nice To Have (Not Required) • Experience with relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) • Snowflake experience (used elsewhere, not critical for this role) • Broader data engineering skills (ETL, data modeling, SQL pipelines) ⸻ • Strong interpersonal communication • Solid camera presence for distributed meetings • Ability to voice technical opinions with clarity • Works well in Agile/Scrum, attends ceremonies, communicates blockers • Not expected to lead stakeholder communication — the IC is insulated and works through product EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
