Senior Data Engineer (Contract)

Contract Data Engineer | Python, SQL, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, AWS Oliver Bernard are supporting a high performing consultancy that delivers large scale data programmes into Financial Services organisations. They’re expanding their contract team and need experienced Data Engineers who can step into complex environments and contribute from day one. You’ll be working on modern cloud based data platforms, designing and optimising data pipelines, and improving the reliability and scalability of existing infrastructure. The work sits in a regulated setting, so experience operating within structured delivery environments is important. Key experience required: Strong hands on engineering skills in Python and SQL Experience building distributed data processing solutions using Spark Workflow orchestration with Airflow Event driven or streaming architecture exposure, ideally Kafka Deep understanding of AWS services across data and infrastructure Contract details: 6 month initial term with a strong chance of extension 3 days per week onsite in London This will suit engineers who are pragmatic, delivery focused, and comfortable working closely with architects, platform teams and stakeholders across the business.
