Contract Data Engineer – KPI Platform
Remote | Up to £600/day | Outside IR35
Oliver Bernard are working with a global retail client on a KPI Engineering programme running through 2026.
The project is focused on building a centralised, governed KPI library to replace fragmented dashboards and create a single, trusted source of business metrics.
Two contractors are being brought in initially to focus on core data engineering and KPI modelling work.
What you'll be doing
• Building KPI data models and pipelines
• Developing a central KPI library within the data platform
• Optimising existing data warehouse queries and pipelines
• Working with analysts to define and operationalise business KPIs
Requirements
• Strong Data Engineering experience
• Advanced SQL and data modelling
• Experience with modern data stacks (dbt, cloud warehouses, BI tools such as Looker)
• Comfortable working across both optimisation and new data builds
