Role description
Our client, a global hospitality company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing data organization. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing modern cloud-based data platforms that power enterprise reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. You'll work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions supporting a global organization.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using modern data engineering best practices.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and deliver data from a variety of enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions, including data modeling, SQL development, and performance tuning.
• Design, schedule, monitor, and maintain data workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics initiatives through ThoughtSpot, enabling business users with scalable dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and software engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable data products.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and consistency across enterprise data platforms.
• Optimize data models and pipelines to support large-scale analytical workloads and high-performance reporting.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience with Snowflake, including cloud data warehousing, data modeling, SQL development, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and pipeline management.
• Experience with ThoughtSpot for self-service analytics, dashboard development, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance best practices.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets supporting enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within large, enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience supporting cloud-based analytics platforms and modern data architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and data engineering automation.
• Hospitality, travel, or customer-facing industry experience is a plus.
