Role description
Job Title: Lead Data Engineer
Location: Rhode Island (Remote)
Please note that this role is open to U.S. Citizens (USC) and Green Card (GC) holders only. We welcome both C2C and direct W2 engagements.
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer / ETL Developer with strong hands-on experience in modern ETL/ELT tools and cloud data platforms.
Role Requirements (Mandatory)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Matillion ETL for designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation and analytics engineering
• 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake as a cloud-based data warehouse
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Services, including:
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Azure SQL Server (Managed and Non-Managed)
• Strong understanding of modern ETL/ELT concepts, trends, and best practices
• 5+ years of data warehousing experience, including:
• Star Schema and Snowflake schema design
• Normalization and Denormalization
• Aggregations and performance optimization
• Data quality, validation, and reconciliation
• Prior experience in the Health Insurance domain is required
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise data warehouse projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
