Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using Databricks.
β’ Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, setting best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, analytics, and business stakeholders.
β’ Implement robust data governance, quality, and security practices.
β’ Optimise data workflows and drive efficiency across large and complex datasets.
β’ Remain hands-on with coding, debugging, and problem-solving when required.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Proven experience delivering Databricks implementations in production.
β’ Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
β’ Demonstrated experience leading or managing small to mid-sized data engineering teams.
β’ Knowledge of CI/CD, data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data architectures.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical detail with delivery deadlines.
