Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to aid in our migration to the Cloud. This role is critical in delivering and creating the best customer experience. Apart from cloud migration and associated cloud tools you will get exposure to our CI/CD deployment infrastructure, Agile development tools and procedures, relational (and non-relational) database technologies, and technology leadership opportunities. Requirements • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience • AWS certification a strong plus • 10+ years of experience in developing and solutioning using Oracle RDBMS development (PL/SQL) • 5+ years of solutioning and development with ETL technologies • 5+ years of data modelling on OLTP and data warehouse • 5+ years of Data Warehouse and Reporting and Analytics platforms like Snowflake preferred • 3+ years of solutioning and coding experience with most of the following: AWS Cloud environments (DMS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Glue with Scala or Python, RDS like Oracle and PostgreSQL etc.); Containerization and Orchestration technologies; Application web server technologies • Strong experience developing in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM) • Experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment • Strong understanding of API development experience with large scale, highly available Enterprise class platforms • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization • Passion and intellectually curious to learn new technologies and business areas • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions Preferred • 2+ years of Java development experience preferred • 2+ years of microservices architecture & development preferred • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB preferred The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
