Senior Data Engineer
We're partnering with a technology business investing heavily in its modern data platform to support self-service BI, advanced analytics, and future AI initiatives.
They're looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to help build scalable, cloud-native data solutions within a Microsoft ecosystem. This is a hands-on role focused on developing robust data pipelines, modern data models, and analytics infrastructure used across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
• Build and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines
• Develop and maintain Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data layers
• Create analytics-ready data models and transformation frameworks using dbt
• Design scalable ETL/ELT solutions across multiple data sources
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability best practices
• Enable self-service BI through trusted, business-ready datasets
• Partner with product, finance, and analytics teams to deliver impactful data solutions
• Support the data foundations for future AI and machine learning initiatives
Tech Stack:
Cloud & Data Platform: Microsoft Fabric, Azure
Languages: SQL, PySpark
Analytics Engineering: dbt
Architecture: Medallion Architecture, Lakehouse Design
Additional Exposure: CI/CD, Data Observability, Streaming Technologies
What We're Looking For:
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Advanced SQL and strong data modelling skills
• Proven experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing
• Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data platforms
• Experience within product-led or technology-driven environments
