Role description
About GTX Solutions:
GTX Solutions is a consulting firm specializing in modern data architecture, Customer
Data Platforms (CDPs), and marketing technology enablement. We work with enterprise
clients across industries including Retail, Travel, Hospitality, and Financial Services to
design and implement scalable data ecosystems that connect, activate, and measure
customer data in real time.
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a near-shore contract basis.
The initial engagement will focus on Snowflake implementation and optimization work
for one of our key clients. This role will be critical in building and operationalizing data
pipelines that support customer data and activation use cases across the marketing and
analytics stack.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows in Snowflake to support CDP and customer data initiatives.
Integrate and ingest data from multiple systems (CRM, digital analytics, marketing platforms, APIs, flat files, etc.) into Snowflake.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and materialized datasets to support analytics, segmentation, and activation.
Collaborate with data strategy and MarTech teams to translate business requirements into technical data models and pipelines.
Support data standardization and transformation logic for customer profiles, identities, and behavioral data.
Implement and maintain data validation and quality checks within pipelines to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across ingestion and transformation processes.
Document workflows, schemas, and logic to maintain transparency and support scalability.
Manage and optimize Snowflake environments for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud based data warehousing.
Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, including SQL development, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Fivetran, Hevo, Airbyte, or similar.
Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
Familiarity with modern data architecture principles (ELT, schema design, data vault/star schema).
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on optimizing data flows and improving system efficiency.
Experience integrating marketing, customer, or behavioral data (CRM, web events, CDP-related pipelines) a strong plus.
Solid understanding of cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Databricks for transformation, orchestration, or analytics workflows.
Experience with activation tools (e.g., Hightouch, Rudderstack, or similar) to enable movement of data from Snowflake into downstream marketing and analytics platforms.
Knowledge of data governance, identity resolution, or CDP architectures (e.g., Tealium, Segment, Hightouch).
Exposure to data visualization or reporting layers (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD for data pipelines
Experience working with automotive data systems (CRM, DMS, website analytics, or marketing platforms supporting dealership or retail automotive use cases).
Interested candidates should submit a resume along with a short note describing
relevant platform experience and notable implementations or technical projects.
GTX Solutions is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates from all
backgrounds to apply.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
