Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & Modern Data Architectures

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and modern data architecture patterns. This role is ideal for a technologist who thrives in designing and building scalable, metadata-driven data platforms and frameworks that power advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions. You will be instrumental in architecting and implementing robust data solutions across data lakes, lakehouse, and warehouses, leveraging event-driven architectures, delta tables, and notebooks. Your work will directly support enterprise-wide data initiatives, including real-time ingestion, transformation, and consumption pipelines. Required Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or architecture roles. Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake components. Proven expertise in building metadata-driven ingestion frameworks and event-driven architectures. Proficiency in PyScript, Python, Spark, and SQL. Experience with Delta Lake, Databricks, and Snowflake. Familiarity with Azure Event Grid, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Factory. Experience with the creation of logical and physical data models, including creation of both star and snowflake schemas. Exposure to AI/ML workflows, including feature engineering and model deployment pipelines. Experience with Azure Purview for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
