Role: Lead Data Engineer with DBT

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in DBT, ETL processes, and SQL/RDBMS to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in data engineering, including a minimum of 2 years working with DBT. Exposure to Python, Cloud Data Services, Spark, and Big Data technologies is a plus. This role requires excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using DBT and other ETL tools.
• Work with various RDBMS systems to extract, transform, and load data into structured formats.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across the pipeline.
• Utilize tools such as Spark, Python, and Cloud Data Services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data processing and transformation.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions.
• Contribute to best practices in data engineering, governance, and DevOps.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, including 2+ years of hands-on experience with DBT.
• Proven expertise in ETL tools, RDBMS, and strong SQL development.
• Proficient in designing and building data pipelines and workflows.
• Experience with Python and Big Data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
