Role description
Required Skills & Experience - Technical Bachelor's Degree - Experience analyzing data in at least ONE of the following domains: manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or quality data - 5+ years of experience working in data modeling, ontology development or data engineering and skilled in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to accurately represent data structures - Demonstrated experience turning complex business problems into actionable insights using data - Proficiency with Python for data cleaning, feature engineering, automation, and custom analytics - Proficiency with SQL for querying, joining, aggregating, and optimizing performance on large datasets - Strong analytical thinking, systems analysis, problem-solving, and communication, demonstrated by past projects - Proven ability to capture requirements, translate business problems into analytical solutions, and measure impact Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms - Demonstrated experience building dashboards and BI artifacts that communicate KPIs and analyses to stakeholders - Experience in large enterprise environments and familiarity with tools such as Palantir Foundry, ProtΓ©gΓ©, or similar platforms - Familiarity with the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support our client. This role will focus on building transformation pipelines, aggregating data, and modeling complex relationships to derive new insights from existing systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with domain knowledge and an analytical mindset. They must bring expertise in at least one of the following data domains, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or quality, and demonstrate the ability to understand how data is linked across systems. Daily responsibilities include collaborating closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements, translating those into logical data models, and delivering solutions that align with business goals. Hands-on experience in data modeling and pipeline development is essential, along with familiarity with modern data engineering tools. Strong communication skills, adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to take initiative are critical for success in this role, as well as thriving in dynamic environments and driving projects to completion.
