Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Juno Beach, FL. Summary: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading data-driven initiatives and implementing advanced analytical solutions within the Nuclear IT division. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and nuclear industry knowledge to drive decision-making and optimize operations. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, development, and deployment of data analytics solutions to support nuclear operations and decision-making
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to understand data needs and develop effective solutions
β’ Implement data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes to ensure high-quality and accessible data
β’ Design and build strong foundational data pipelines for AI initiatives (Structured and Unstructured data)
β’ Lead different data management efforts (Data quality, Data Governance, Retention, Privacy and Data Security)
β’ Develop advanced analytical models and algorithms to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
β’ Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations and standards
β’ Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in data practices
β’ Provide level 3 support to current Power BI reports
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
β’ Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role, with a strong emphasis on the nuclear industry
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
β’ Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes (Glue, Talend), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
β’ Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to nuclear data management and security
β’ Strong in Python, Spark, Pyspark, AWS Glue
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience with PostGres, Redshift, Elastic Search and Neo4J
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their data services
β’ Spark, API, Python, AWS DMS, Microsoft Co-pilot, Microsoft Studio
β’ Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in the nuclear sector is a plus
β’ Knowledge of real-time and IOT data is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
