Role description
Position Title: Data Engineer, Sr Location: Lone Tree, CO (100% on-site) Contract Length: 7 months (Possible extension) Rate Range: $65/hour to $73/hour (rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Job Summary / Description: In this role, you will build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to serve cyber security data mart customers. Responsibilities include: β€’ Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer β€’ Develop and optimize SQL queries for ETL processes β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements β€’ Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security β€’ Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues β€’ Contribute to data architecture decisions β€’ Stay current with cloud-based data engineering and cyber security trends β€’ Work in Agile environment, manage tasks, and resolve data issues proactively Must Have: β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field β€’ 5+ years of hands-on experience in data management and consolidation β€’ Expertise in Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer β€’ Proficiency in Python and SQL β€’ Experience with ETL processes and pipeline design β€’ Strong problem-solving and communication skills Nice to Have: β€’ Power BI development and visualization β€’ Experience with GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Data Studio β€’ Knowledge of DevOps tools (Terraform) β€’ Familiarity with Tableau, Grafana, Looker β€’ Cyber Security tools and analysis methodologies β€’ Certifications: CompTIA Sec+, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CISA β€’ Understanding of frameworks: NIST, CIS controls, COBIT, ISO Additional Details: β€’ Interviews conducted by manager and two team members; candidate will complete a test during the interview (test not shared beforehand). β€’ Python API coding experience required β€’ BigQuery experience required β€’ Power BI and Cyber Security experience highly desired β€’ Dashboard visualization highly desired Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
