Senior Data Engineer

Position Title: Data Engineer, Sr Location: Lone Tree, CO (100% on-site) Contract Length: 7 months (Possible extension) Rate Range: $65/hour to $73/hour (rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Job Summary / Description: In this role, you will build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to serve cyber security data mart customers. Responsibilities include: • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer • Develop and optimize SQL queries for ETL processes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements • Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues • Contribute to data architecture decisions • Stay current with cloud-based data engineering and cyber security trends • Work in Agile environment, manage tasks, and resolve data issues proactively Must Have: • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data management and consolidation • Expertise in Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer • Proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience with ETL processes and pipeline design • Strong problem-solving and communication skills Nice to Have: • Power BI development and visualization • Experience with GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Data Studio • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Terraform) • Familiarity with Tableau, Grafana, Looker • Cyber Security tools and analysis methodologies • Certifications: CompTIA Sec+, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CISA • Understanding of frameworks: NIST, CIS controls, COBIT, ISO Additional Details: • Interviews conducted by manager and two team members; candidate will complete a test during the interview (test not shared beforehand). • Python API coding experience required • BigQuery experience required • Power BI and Cyber Security experience highly desired • Dashboard visualization highly desired Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
