Job Description:
Youβll be joining a multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers and engineers who research and innovate on latest technology to create awesome data and AI products that millions of people will experience every day.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing data capabilities and solutions that improve customer experience, enable innovative user experiences, and increase store revenue. Engineers at clientβs solid technical backgrounds but enjoy learning new languages, technologies, and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and platform capabilities while ensuring alignment with business needs and scalability requirements.
β’ Optimize existing data workflows and systems to improve performance and cost-efficiency, implementing innovative solutions under guidance. Β· Collaborate with and learn from senior data engineers, apply technical best practices and growing technical expertise.
β’ Participate in cross-functional projects, working with product managers, analysts, solutions architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
β’ Support analytics initiatives by building and maintaining data infrastructure that enables data-driven insights and decision-making.
β’ Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical implementations.
β’ Stay current with data engineering technologies, trends, and best practices, and contribute ideas for new tools and approaches to the team.
β’ Follow and contribute to data engineering standards, processes, and documentation, ensuring consistency and maintainability across projects.
Basic Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering, or any Engineering field or quantitative discipline such as Physics or Statistics.
β’ Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with experience in data modeling and analytics.
β’ Strong technical foundation in Python, SQL, Spark/Pyspark and experience with cloud platforms (for example, AWS, Azure,).
β’ Deep understanding of data engineering fundamentals, including database architecture and design, Extract, transform and load (ETL) processes, data lakes, data warehousing, and both batch and streaming technologies.
β’ Experience working with analytics teams and understanding of analytics workflows, metrics development, and business intelligence requirements
β’ Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
β’ Proven ability to lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
β’ Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Extra Credit:
β’ Experience with Databricks platform.
β’ Experience with CDP platforms like HighTouch.
