Role description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary FWA team. This role involves working across multiple products and technology stacks to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing ETL pipelines, troubleshooting data issues in production environments, and designing and implementing new data architectures to support our growing data needs.
Responsibilities:
β’ Maintain and optimize existing ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy and performance.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in production applications across various products and platforms.
β’ Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures to support new and existing applications.
β’ Demonstrates subject matter expertise in relation to data mapping, transformations, validations, and ingestion workflows.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical product owners, analysts, and software engineers.
β’ Monitor data workflows and ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
β’ Document data processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
β’ Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
β’ Proficiency in Oracle and experience with big data tools such as Spark, Scala and Hadoop.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
β’ Strong understanding of agile development practices, preferably SAFe.
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Background in Healthcare IT, especially payer systems or payment integrity solutions.
β’ Experience with Apache Nifi for data pipeline management
