Role: Senior Data Engineer Location: Plano, TX (Onsite 4 days /week, 1 day/WFH) Employment Type: 12-month Contract We have 5 opening Local preferred, will interview locals first round Interview: in person / video Summar yThe Senior Data Engineer will support Marketing Strategy & Analytics Enablement organization by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that enable marketing analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This individual will leverage dbt, Snowflake, and advanced SQL to build and optimize data models and ELT pipelines while partnering with analytics, business, and technology teams to deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets .The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer who is experienced building production dbt models, developing scalable Snowflake solutions, and transforming complex data into actionable business insights . Jira & Confluen ce Responsibilit ies • Design, develop, and maintain scalable dbt models supporting Marketing Strategy & Analytics initiativ es. • Build and optimize data pipelines within Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, and downstream business applicatio ns. • Develop reusable, high-quality data models that improve accessibility and consistency across analytics tea ms. • Write efficient, maintainable SQL to transform and optimize large datase ts. • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutio ns. • Implement data quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy and reliabili ty. • Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and query efficien cy. • Participate in Agile ceremonies utilizing Jira and Confluen ce. • Document technical solutions, data lineage, and engineering best practic es. • Support continuous improvement of data engineering standards and development process es. Required Qualificat ions • 5–7 years of Data Engineering experie nce. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) in production environme nts. • Strong experience developing solutions within Snowfl ake. • Advanced SQL development and query optimization ski lls. • Experience developing ELT pipelines and transforming large datas ets. • Experience with dimensional data modeling and building analytics-ready datas ets. • Proficiency with Python for data engineering and automation ta sks. • Experience using Git/version cont rol. • Experience working within Agile environments using Jira and Conflue nce. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ski lls. • Excellent communication and collaboration ski lls. Preferred Qualifica tions • Experience supporting Marketing Analytics, Customer Analytics, or Enterprise Analytics organizat ions. • Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure) or similar cloud platf orms. • Experience optimizing Snowflake performance and cost. • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment pract ices. • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Powe r BI. • Financial services or insurance industry experience is a plus.
