Senior Data Engineer (6 month Contract) London | Hybrid | Competitive Day Rate We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong Lloyd's / London Market insurance experience to join a growing data team delivering strategic data platform and data warehouse solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, build and support ETL/ELT data pipelines • Develop and enhance enterprise data warehouses and data platforms • Design and improve data models, with a focus on Syndicate and London Market data • Develop APIs and data services for business and technical stakeholders • Perform data testing, reconciliation, documentation and support activities • Promote best practice in data governance and engineering • Mentor junior team members and contribute to Agile delivery. Essential Skills • Deep knowledge of the Lloyd's of London Market • Advanced T-SQL, SSIS and Azure Data Factory • Strong experience with Power BI, SSRS, MDX and DAX • Data warehousing and data modelling expertise (Kimball, Data Vault) • Experience with Azure DevOps • Strong understanding of SQL Server and Azure-based data solutions • Experience with APIs, testing, reconciliation and documentation • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Desirable • Python / PySpark • Databricks • Palantir Foundry • Machine Learning exposure This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile insurance organisation and play a key role in shaping and enhancing its data ecosystem.
