Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will: • Implement and design scalable serverless data solutions using AWS services such as Lambda and Glue. • Maintain and develop reliable and scalable data solutions that support business and operational requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and understand data needs for near real-time processing. • Document architecture decisions, data flows, and metadata to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing. • Implement and design fault-tolerant systems, ensuring resilience and high availability in data processing pipelines. You will be a good fit for the Senior Data Engineer role if you have: • 5 plus years of related hands-on experience within a technology-driven environment • Proven experience maintaining and building operational data pipelines, particularly with streaming technologies like AWS Kinesis • Strong proficiency in Apache Spark and Scala • Experience in AWS cloud services with a focus on serverless architectures for data processing (Glue, Lambda, etc.) • SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) • Experience building ETL pipelines and data services in the cloud using infrastructure as code and large-scale data processing engines, like Spark • Strong experience with SQL and one or more programming languages, with Python preferred • Strong communication and problem—solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing business needs About Market Street Talent Our Vision: To promote and foster the growth of information technology (IT) in our world…one candidate, one client, one community at a time.
