Senior Data Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Employment Type: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $69/hour - $74/hour
Role Overview
In this role, you will consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning. You will be tasked with reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted, and longer-term software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation. Your contributions will aid in resolving situations that demand a solid understanding of function, policies, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring an understanding of function, policies, and compliance.
• Collaborate and consult with client personnel on strategic objectives.
• Engage in Agile project methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings.
• Perform performance tuning and automation of reports and processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:
• Data Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
• Experience with Parquet files in S3 buckets.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), or Microsoft Azure.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $69.26 and $74.16 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and experience.
