Role description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in building and maintaining enterprise-grade data pipelines in a modern cloud environment. This role is part of a critical data engineering workstream and requires someone who can quickly ramp up, work independently, and confidently operate in a client-facing setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python and SQL, along with experience in cloud-based data platforms and transformation tools.

• Contract Duration: 8+ Months
• Rate Range- $45-55/hr on W2
• Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows
• Work with large datasets to enable efficient data processing and analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Develop and optimize data models and transformations using modern data stack tools
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data workflows
• Engage in client-facing interactions, providing updates and technical insights
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (must-have)
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing
• Experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling
• Experience with AWS Airflow for orchestration and workflow management
• Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and best practices
AI / Automation (Nice to Have)
• Exposure to AI/ML tools such as AWS Bedrock or Snowflake ML
• Basic understanding of automation and AI-driven data workflows
• Candidates without direct AI experience but strong core data engineering skills will still be considered
Soft Skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
• Quick learner with adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
