Role description
Role Overview I am looking for a Senior Data Governance Engineer to design and scale enterprise data governance and security capabilities with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic ownership, ensuring data is secure, trusted, compliant, and easy to discover across the organization. What You’ll Do β€’ Architect and implement data governance frameworks within Microsoft Fabric β€’ Design and enforce RBAC, data access, and security controls β€’ Own metadata, lineage, data classification, and certified datasets β€’ Automate governance controls using scripting and CI/CD pipelines β€’ Partner with data, analytics, and security teams to embed governance across the data lifecycle What We’re Looking For β€’ Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Fabric Workspaces β€’ Hands-on experience with RBAC, IAM, and data security models β€’ Knowledge of metadata management, lineage, and data quality β€’ Experience with Python, PowerShell, or SQL automation β€’ 7+ years in data engineering, governance, or data platform roles Why Join β€’ High impact, senior-level ownership β€’ Strong collaboration with platform and security leadership β€’ Opportunity to shape Fabric governance at enterprise scale
