Role Overview
I am looking for a Senior Data Governance Engineer to design and scale enterprise data governance and security capabilities with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic ownership, ensuring data is secure, trusted, compliant, and easy to discover across the organization.
What You’ll Do
• Architect and implement data governance frameworks within Microsoft Fabric
• Design and enforce RBAC, data access, and security controls
• Own metadata, lineage, data classification, and certified datasets
• Automate governance controls using scripting and CI/CD pipelines
• Partner with data, analytics, and security teams to embed governance across the data lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Fabric Workspaces
• Hands-on experience with RBAC, IAM, and data security models
• Knowledge of metadata management, lineage, and data quality
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, or SQL automation
• 7+ years in data engineering, governance, or data platform roles
