Summary:
The Finance Data Management Office (FDMO) drives Finance’s data strategy, governance standards, and data‑risk management practices. The team partners closely with the Chief Data Office (CDO), Technology, and Finance sub‑domains to ensure data used for regulatory reporting, analysis, and business processes is accurate, trusted, and well‑governed.
We are seeking a senior data management professional with strong execution capability, domain knowledge in Finance data, and proven leadership across complex, cross‑functional initiatives. This role requires a balance of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and hands‑on delivery in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Data Governance, Risk, and Control Execution
• Lead enterprise‑scale data management initiatives to improve data quality, integrity, and usability across Finance processes and regulatory reporting.
• Assess current‑state data, metadata, and quality conditions; develop risk‑based remediation recommendations.
• Ensure new business and technology initiatives include appropriate data management controls and risk requirements.
• Drive implementation of data quality and metadata improvements across systems, processes, and business domains.
Initiative Leadership
• Manage delivery outcomes, risks, and dependencies for complex initiatives with high visibility.
• Make informed decisions in multifaceted, ambiguous scenarios requiring deep understanding of Finance data and governance standards.
• Lead project teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and mentor less experienced staff on best practices.
Regulatory, Reporting, and Oversight Support
• Oversee analysis and reporting activities supporting regulatory, audit, and risk management expectations.
• Support issue identification, validation, remediation planning, and sustainable closure of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Data Product Owners, Technology, Risk, Audit, and Finance stakeholders to ensure compliance and data governance alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a primary data management partner for Finance stakeholders, including RAU owners, product teams, and application owners.
• Provide data quality and governance recommendations to senior leaders.
• Represent the Finance Data Domain in cross‑functional and enterprise governance forums.
• Drive cross‑organizational alignment on data solutions, governance approaches, and remediation strategies.
Qualifications:

• Experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project/Program Management.
• Experience in Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Controls.
• Experience executing, reviewing, or assuring controls within business processes.
• Experience in financial services or financial services consulting.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and recommend strategic solutions.
• Strong executive‑level communication skills (preferred)
• Ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity (preferred)
• Effective influencing skills in a matrixed environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of metadata management and data lineage tools (preferred)
• Experience with databases, ETL, and cloud data platforms (preferred)
• Familiarity with Jira, SDLC, and data integration processes (preferred)
• Experience using generative/agentic AI tools; strong prompt‑engineering skills (preferred)
• SQL and Python experience (preferred)
• Experience in regulatory reporting, risk, audit, or control functions (preferred)
• Understanding of financial services regulatory requirements (preferred)
