Job Summary:
Seeking a Senior Data Migration Validation Analyst to support a large-scale data migration project involving migration from a Legacy Mainframe system to SQL Server and Salesforce Service Cloud. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end data integrity, validate migration accuracy, and perform detailed reconciliation across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Validate end-to-end data migration from Mainframe to SQL Server and Salesforce.
• Perform data reconciliation using record counts, hash totals, and financial/statistical summaries.
• Review Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents and validate transformation logic.
• Develop complex SQL queries for data validation and profiling.
• Verify Salesforce data integrity using SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench.
• Validate parent-child relationships, External IDs, and object mappings.
• Identify, analyze, document, and resolve data quality issues including:
• Missing records
• Data truncation
• Character encoding issues
• Null constraint violations
• Orphaned records
• Work closely with ETL developers, Salesforce developers, and business stakeholders.
• Automate validation and comparison processes using Python (Pandas) or Excel/Power Query.
• Ensure zero data loss and complete relational integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in:
• SQL Server
• Salesforce Service Cloud
• Data Conversion Testing and Validation
• Strong experience in SQL development and data validation.
• Experience with Salesforce data architecture, standard/custom objects, SOQL, Data Loader, and Workbench.
• Knowledge of legacy data migration and fixed-width file validation.
• Experience performing cross-system data reconciliation.
