As a Senior Data Scientist on the GRI Data Science team, youβll collaborate with Engineers, Economists, Statisticians, Actuaries, and other experts to develop advanced analytics capabilities that deliver meaningful business impact. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement advanced analytics solutions to support business objectives.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models and machine learning applications.
β’ Manage data acquisition, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
β’ Deploy models using modern ML lifecycle tools and cloud platforms.
β’ Apply statistical techniques and machine learning theory to solve complex business problems.
Must-Have Qualifications:
β’ Advanced degree (Masterβs or Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment.
β’ Experience designing experiments (e.g., A/B testing) and working with claims or customer experience data.
β’ Hands-on experience with:
β’ Data acquisition & transformation: APIs, SQL, NoSQL, Python, R
β’ Database management: Relational (SQL), unstructured (NoSQL), graph databases
β’ Model deployment: MDLC, CI/CD pipelines, MLFlow, AWS SageMaker
β’ Statistical techniques: Bayesian statistics, time series analysis, applied probability
β’ Machine learning: NLP and large-scale data processing
β’ Proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, SQL, Java/Scala, Cypher
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Background in behavioral science
β’ Experience with AWS cloud environments
β’ Familiarity with model and data versioning tools
