Senior Data Scientist

Title: Senior Data Scientist (Azure / Databricks) Location: Houston, TX or San Diego (onsite/hybrid) Contract: 8 months (potential extension) About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact team focused on delivering production-ready machine learning solutions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build, deploy, and scale models in a modern Azure-based data environment. What You’ll Do • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to solve real business problems • Work with large datasets using Python, SQL, and Databricks • Productionize models and integrate them into data pipelines • Collaborate with engineering and business teams in an Agile environment • Communicate insights and model outputs to non-technical stakeholders What We’re Looking For • Strong industry experience in Data Science (not purely academic) • Advanced Python skills (core language for development) • Solid foundation in machine learning and/or statistics • Hands-on experience with Azure (required) • Experience with Databricks and SQL • Proven experience deploying models into production • Familiarity with Git/version control and Agile methodologies • Strong communication skills with business stakeholders Nice to Have • Experience working in cloud-based ML pipelines • Exposure to MLOps practices Important Notes • Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Houston (or San Diego) • Candidates must have hands-on production experience and strong communication skills
