Role description
Insight Global is hiring a Sr. Data Engineer for our client, a major telecommunications firm providing connectivity services to millions of customers, The Senior Data Scientist is part of the Network Analytics team, executing advanced analytic techniques to enhance the security and operational efficiency of enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Execute the complete analytics life-cycle: problem formulation, data exploration, grooming, model prototyping, validation, and productionalization.
β’ Apply advanced statistical analysis and machine learning (including generative AI) to enhance network security and operational efficiency.
β’ Identify anomalies affecting employee experience and detect insider threats or malicious activities.
β’ Survey and analyze varied data sources for analytic relevance.
β’ Interpret, synthesize, and communicate analytic results to drive organizational action.
β’ Collaborate to integrate analytic products with production architectures.
β’ Teach and explain analytic techniques to business intelligence, data, and analytics professionals.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree (or relevant experience) in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, or related quantitative fields.
β’ Expert-level skills in analytics languages (Python preferred, R, Matlab).
β’ Advanced quantitative analysis skills, including model interpretation, causality, and multicollinearity.
β’ Experience with Big Data tools, especially Spark.
β’ Experience with machine learning, graph/network analytics, and data pre-processing.
β’ Ability to work in compiled, high-performance languages (Scala, Java, C++).
β’ Experience with relational databases.
β’ Basic understanding of data architecture, data warehouse, and data marts.
β’ Strong communication and presentation skills.
β’ Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
β’ Demonstrated ability and desire to continually expand skill set and share knowledge with others.
The hourly pay rate range for this role is $60/hr - $70/hr
