Role description
Title: Sr. Data Scientist
Openings: 1
Duration: 12mo contract + extensions (possibility for FTE based on budget/headcount allocations, client goal is conversion to FTE)
Hourly Pay: $60-65/hr approx. (potential flex)
Schedule: REMOTE anywhere in the US, Mon-Fri day shift (core hours, EST/CST)
Start Date: ASAP
Interview Process: 2 rounds
Auth: GC/USC so client has ability to convert
Must haves:
• Strong expertise with Python, SQL, and any of the major CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Masters or PHD
• Comfort with live coding assessments
• Experienced data scientist with 8 to 10 years of hands-on data science experience. 5 to 8 years of working in a business environment to deliver analytical projects for business stakeholders.
• Experienced in building ML and predictive models
• Hands-on Gen AI / LLM work
• Experienced in healthcare data (e.g., claims, lab results, medical utilization) and analytics
• Excellent communication with technical and especially with non-technical business stakeholders, ability to summarize and distill insights
• Team technical mentorship, establish and lead execution of best data science practices
Bonus:
• Production ML and MLOps experience
• Experienced in survey design and sampling, survey analytics, Qualtrics (or other popular survey tools)
• Health disparity data and analytics, public health background
Day to Day Summary

You will contribute to both ad-hoc requests as well as longer term projects, as well as helping to mentor/guide Jr resources within the organization. There will be frequent stakeholder communications with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements, define objectives, and deliver actionable insights.
