Senior Data Scientist – Customer Analytics (Energy, Utilities, Telecoms & Insurance)

We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a customer analytics programme, helping deliver predictive machine learning solutions that drive commercial decision-making and improve customer outcomes.
While Energy & Utilities experience is preferred, we're also keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in telecoms or insurance, particularly those who have worked with subscription or term-based products and services.
This role is focused on understanding customer behaviour and building predictive models that support customer retention, reduce bad debt and improve commercial performance.
Key Requirements
• Senior Data Scientist with strong commercial experience delivering production-ready machine learning solutions.
• Experience within Energy & Utilities (preferred), or telecoms or insurance with customer analytics in subscription or term-based businesses.
• Proven experience designing and deploying predictive machine learning models for one or more of:
• Customer churn prevention and retention
• Debt management / collections
• Credit risk or customer risk analytics
• Customer behaviour, propensity or segmentation
• Strong statistical modelling and machine learning skills using Python (Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and SQL.
• Experience working in Databricks is desirable.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical insights to business audiences.
• Comfortable working closely with clients to understand commercial challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
