Data Scientist – Time-Series & Forecasting | Financial Services We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a passion for solving complex real-world problems using data-driven insights. You’ll join a forward-thinking team working on advanced forecasting and modelling projects for a leading health insurer, helping to shape smarter, fairer pricing strategies that truly make an impact. What you’ll be doing: β€’ Lead enhancements of a UK medical inflation forecasting model. β€’ Apply time-series forecasting, clustering, and feature engineering to improve accuracy and interpretability. β€’ Collaborate with actuarial and pricing teams to design, test, and validate new model features. β€’ Support ML Engineers in taking your work to production within a governed MLOps environment. β€’ Influence data-driven decision-making at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and finance. What we’re looking for: β€’ Strong hands-on experience in Python, machine learning, and time-series modelling. β€’ A background in financial services or insurance (bonus points for health or medical insurance). β€’ Solid understanding of model governance, validation, and deployment best practices. β€’ Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
