We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a passion for solving complex real-world problems using data-driven insights. You’ll join a forward-thinking team working on advanced forecasting and modelling projects for a leading health insurer, helping to shape smarter, fairer pricing strategies that truly make an impact.
What you’ll be doing:
• Lead enhancements of a UK medical inflation forecasting model.
• Apply time-series forecasting, clustering, and feature engineering to improve accuracy and interpretability.
• Collaborate with actuarial and pricing teams to design, test, and validate new model features.
• Support ML Engineers in taking your work to production within a governed MLOps environment.
• Influence data-driven decision-making at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and finance.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong hands-on experience in Python, machine learning, and time-series modelling.
• A background in financial services or insurance (bonus points for health or medical insurance).
• Solid understanding of model governance, validation, and deployment best practices.
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
