Kforce has a client in search of a talented Senior Data Scientist in San Antonio, TX. Summary: As a dedicated Senior Data Scientist, you will work with Machine Learning and AI Services team for the Enterprise Data and Analytics organization. We apply innovative machine learning and AI technologies and create solutions to help our members meet their financial goals and service needs while proactively providing outstanding personalized experiences. As a member of this dynamic team, you will demonstrate unstructured, structured and graph data sources to understand relationships and trends, uncover patterns and extract insights to support our business partners achieve this noble cause of providing exceptional service to our members. This team is the backbone of the next generation of AI modeling, and we hope you join us on the frontier! Duties:

   • Senior Data Scientist will translate business problems into applied statistical, machine learning, simulation, and optimization solutions to inform actionable business insights and drive business value through automation, revenue generation, and expense and risk reduction

   • In collaboration with engineering partners, delivers solutions at scale, and enables customer-facing applications

   • Leverages' database, cloud, and programming knowledge to build analytical modeling solutions using statistical and machine learning techniques

   • As a Senior Data Scientist, you will collaborate with other data scientists to improve Client's tooling, expanding the company's library of internal packages and applications

   • Works with model risk management to validate the results and stability of models before being pushed to production at scale

Requirements

   • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Science and Engineering, or other similar quantitative field; Or 4 years of experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree

   • 6 years of experience in a predictive analytics or data analysis or Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Science and Engineering, or other similar quantitative field and 4 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis

   • 4 years of experience in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and other advanced analytics models

   • 4 years of experience in one or more dynamic scripted language (such as Python, R, etc.) for performing statistical analyses and/or building and scoring AI/ML models

   • Proven experience writing code that is easy to follow, well documented, and commented where necessary to explain logic (high code visibility)

   • Top Soft Skills: Influence, strategic thinking beyond immediate tasks

   • Top Technical Skills: Classical ML methods, regression segmentation

Essential Tools

   • Strong Python

   • ML stack (DOMINO preferred)

   • Snowflake (nice to have)

   • SQL (nice to have)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
