Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to support ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata management, and implementation of enterprise data warehouse initiatives. This role involves designing and optimizing data warehouse solutions, ensuring data quality and performance, and collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining
• Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation
• Develop processes and procedures for reliable data entry into data warehousing systems
• Develop ETL mapping specifications to ensure reliability and quality of loaded data
• Continuously improve performance and tuning of the data warehouse while ensuring data security
• Work with IT teams and business users to understand requirements and implement solutions
• Participate in the full SDLC: planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support
• Develop test plans, test cases, and QA processes; identify and resolve defects
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions and facilitate meetings with stakeholders
• Collaborate across large teams to deliver effective data solutions
Required Skills & Experience
• Moderate to strong experience in data warehousing process design and development
• Data warehouse performance tuning using Informatica
• Strong data management and data analysis skills using SQL
• Knowledge of relational database technologies (SQL Server)
• Experience with:
• Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) – 2+ years
• Informatica PowerCenter – 4+ years
• Kimball data warehouse design principles – 2+ years
• Relational and dimensional data models
• Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
• DB2 – 2+ years
• Oracle database querying and reporting – 3+ years
• Technical writing and documentation – 3+ years
• Implementation of large, complex data models and processes – 2+ years
• Experience with Business Objects or other BI tools – 3+ years
• Dashboarding and visualization using Tableau – 2+ years
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations in government or regulated environments
• Experience with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, DB2) is a plus
Preferred Background
• Prior experience working with state government or highly regulated environments
• Experience working with large agencies or departments handling sensitive data
