Job Title: Senior Data Warehouse/BI Developer
Job Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
• The candidate will support the division by executing existing metric procedures for statutory and ad hoc reporting, assessing and resolving data discrepancies, and developing an end-to-end automation framework.
• This includes loading and querying data in SQL Server using Microsoft tools, implementing data quality checks, and providing documentation and training to staff on framework usage and maintenance.
Requirement/Must Have:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development and programming.
• Strong background in SQL, SQL Server, and related Microsoft products.
• Hands-on experience developing ETL processes using Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one business intelligence tool.
• Proven ability to lead projects and develop high-level plans with estimates.
• Experience in creating and executing data quality checks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience training team members of varying skill levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years in software development, SQL/ETL, Python, BI tools, and data management.
Responsibilities:
• Execute metric procedures for statutory and ad hoc reporting.
• Assess and resolve data discrepancies.
• Design, document, and implement an automation framework for data processing.
• Load and validate vendor and internal division data in SQL Server.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve geography coding issues.
• Develop and maintain automation documentation.
• Train division staff on framework usage and maintenance.
Should Have:
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience in building end-to-end automated data processes.
Skills:
• SQL, SQL Server, Python, Microsoft Visual Studio, ETL, BI Tools, Data Quality, Automation Frameworks, Documentation, Communication, Leadership.
Qualification or Education:
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Desired:
