Senior Developer - Datadog

Role: Senior Developer - Datadog Work Mode: Remote Start Date: Immediate Job Description Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions using Datadog across cloud and on-prem environments. • Develop and manage dashboards, monitors, alerts, and service maps to provide real-time visibility into system health and performance. • Integrate Datadog with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker). • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to define metrics and SLIs/SLOs for critical services. • Optimize Datadog usage for cost efficiency and performance. • Conduct root cause analysis using Datadog APM and logs during incidents and outages. • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Datadog best practices. • Stay updated with new Datadog features and industry trends to continuously improve observability maturity Required Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, or DevOps roles. • Strong expertise in Datadog (Dashboards, Monitors, APM, Logs, RUM, Synthetic Monitoring). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and integration. • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Datadog Certified Professional (if available). • Experience with other observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk). • Exposure to incident management and ITSM processes. • Knowledge of security and compliance monitoring using Datadog.
