Job Description:
Position Title: Senior Developer (Rules Developer, Credit Decision Engine)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months with the possibility of conversion.
Pay Range: $80/hr. - $85/hr.
Day to Day:
• Work within the risk and rules development team on the business side as they move through the execution tasks
• The individual selected would be exposed to two major initiatives
• Coding within the rules engine
• drools experience - open source decision engine that would be a nice to have or a plus
• The other side is the existing strategy management of the decision engine - open to any kind of decision engine not just focused on one
• Ramp up on the current decision engine architecture and business workflows
• Support the incremental development lifecycle by working with technology, credit risk and product teams
• Test and deploy in support of transitioning from an on prem decision engine to a modernized cloud native implementation
• Analyze and identify areas for optimization as the platform transitions to the target state.
Must Haves:
• Top three skills: Decision engine/ Python/ Java/ AWS cloud
• 10 years of hands on work related to:
• Within financial services (Credit & Lending) MOST PREFERRED
• Experience and involvement with strategy based decisioning platforms / decision engines/rule-based systems
• Programming experience (Java) and a strong fundamental understanding of data structures
• Proven experience in modernizing enterprise systems to cloud native architectures
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and programming in Java and JSON to support design and implementation tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
