Role description
β’ Job Type βContract-to-Hire
β’ Location β Remote, but located near Dallas, Miramar/Miami, Seattle, Minneapolis, or Atlanta
β’ Requirements - GC holder or USC required
Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Full-Stack Developer β Web Application Development to join our clientβs Digital Engineering team in a contract to hire, remote role.
Do you love building fast, reliable e-commerce experiences? Are you passionate about the engineering craft behind seamless cart, checkout, order, and payment flows? We are transforming the way our industry interacts with digital technology β and we need engineers who care deeply about both the code they write and the customers they serve.
As a Senior Developer on our Digital Commerce engineering team, you will be a hands-on contributor building and evolving the micro-frontend applications that power our customers' end-to-end purchasing experience β from browsing and cart management through checkout, payment capture, and order fulfillment. You'll work within a focused product team, collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers, and bring technical rigor to every layer of the stack.
The Role
You will own feature delivery end-to-end within your product domain β writing production-quality React code, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring our MFE applications are performant, maintainable, and secure.
Responsibilities
Delivery:
β’ Build and maintain React-based micro-frontend applications across cart, checkout, order management, and payment flows
β’ Independently break down complex, ambiguous requirements into well-scoped engineering tasks
β’ Implement responsive, accessible UI components aligned with design system standards
β’ Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services to deliver complete end-to-end features
β’ Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code quality and coverage
β’ Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive technical feedback
Technical Contribution:
β’ Take meaningful ownership of micro-frontend architecture decisions β module federation, shared dependencies, and deployment boundaries
β’ Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in rendering, state management, and data fetching
β’ Apply security best practices (XSS, CSRF prevention, secure payment data handling) in all frontend work
β’ Support CI/CD pipelines and assist in maintaining build tooling
Collaboration:
β’ Work within an agile team, actively participating in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives
β’ Partner with backend and platform engineers to design clean API contracts
β’ Unblock teammates through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
β’ Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to teammates and product stakeholders
Growth:
β’ Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pairing, and documentation
β’ Stay current with React ecosystem trends and advocate for adoption where appropriate
Requirements:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
β’ 5+ years of experience in web application development with at least 3 years focused on React and modern JavaScript frameworks
β’ Proven experience owning features end-to-end in a micro-frontend architecture with minimal guidance
β’ Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
β’ Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
β’ Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
β’ React.js: Strong command of hooks, context API, component lifecycle, and performance optimization patterns
β’ Micro-Frontend Architecture: Proven experience owning and evolving module federation (Webpack 5) and MFE composition patterns
β’ State Management: Experience with Redux, Zustand, or similar; sound judgment on global vs. local state, including complex multi-step transactional flows
β’ Testing: Proficiency with Jest and React Testing Library; experience with Cypress or Playwright for E2E testing
β’ Build Tools: Working knowledge of Webpack, Rollup, or Vite
β’ Version Control: Strong Git workflow skills including branching strategies and pull request practices
β’ Cloud/Hosting: Familiarity with AWS or Azure services for frontend hosting, CDN, and deployment
β’ Performance: Understanding of Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting, and bundle optimization
β’ Security: Awareness of OWASP frontend vulnerabilities, XSS/CSRF mitigation, and secure data handling patterns
β’ Agile: Comfortable in Scrum or Kanban environments with a bias toward shipping and iterating
β’ Job Type βContract-to-Hire
β’ Location β Remote, but located near Dallas, Miramar/Miami, Seattle, Minneapolis, or Atlanta
