Job Title: Senior Developer - Python & Rust
Location: Dallas, TX/Miramar, FL - Hybrid
Contract Duration - 8 months
Required Skills:
• Experience in programming languages Python and Rust
• Must have cloud computing skills like AWS S3, REST API’s, Kubernetes container, and Parquet files
• SQL (Postgres, Duck DB, Redshift)
• Knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus
Interviews: 2 rounds of technical interviews
Resource will be part of a rotating on call schedule
Currently 3 others on rotation, once every two weeks - one week of on-call schedule, potential weekends
Overview
The Sr Developer’s role is to develop, enhance and support in-house software applications or extensions by coding with a technical language to meet business requirements and business objectives. This can include taking technical specifications and developing an application or integration of data between applications, testing, as well as, completing the appropriate technical documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy Enhancements/Bug fixes by creating service packs
• Drives the implementation and adherence to incident, problem, and change management, early detection, automation processes
• Monitor daily/monthly planned production activities
• Provide regular communications to stakeholders on service impacts, planned change and risk mitigation
• Provide support and engagement with projects to enable the delivery of fast, quality change
• Collaborate with cross functional teams
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education
• Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL (Postgres, Duck DB, Redshift)
• Experience in programming languages Python and Rust
• Must have cloud computing skills like AWS S3, REST API’s, Kubernetes container, and Parquet files
• Advanced excel skills would be an advantage for data analysis
• Knowledge on network products and protocols including DNS, load balancers, IP, SSO would be an advantage
• Experience in developing and supporting production applications including limited experience coordinating and leading development teams/projects
• Strong team player with ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of functions as well as able to work independently
• Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, mathematic, and problem-solving skills
