Senior DevSecOps Engineer | Remote

DevSecOps Engineer Work Snapshot Type: W2 Contract Location: Seattle, WA Commitment: Full-Time Pay Rate: $50 $75/hour What You'll Be Doing • Maintain AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform with modular, reusable patterns across VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, S3, and SQS within HIPAA-regulated production environments • Partner with InfoSec to run and tune security scanning tools including Semgrep, Checkov, and Lacework and integrate them into delivery pipelines • Build automation in Python or Node.js to reduce manual toil and eliminate repetitive operational tasks • Implement self-scaling and self-healing configurations while strengthening CI/CD pipeline security and reliability • Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, and the LGTM stack; participate in on-call rotations and blameless post-mortems What We're Looking For • Strong experience in AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS, IAM, S3, and SQS in production environments • Strong experience in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices with modular design patterns • Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python or Node.js • Strong experience in SAST, DAST, or CSPM tooling alongside logging and monitoring systems • Strong experience in VPC design, network security, and cloud security principles • Strong experience in HIPAA, SOC2, or PCI-DSS compliance environments is a plus; Kubernetes/EKS and GitOps familiarity (ArgoCD, Flux) preferred Application Process • Open the Mercor application link included in this email. • Register for a Mercor account if you do not already have one, or log in to your existing account. • After signing in, submit your application for the role on Mercor.
