DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA
Commitment: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $50 $75/hour
What You'll Be Doing
β’ Maintain AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform with modular, reusable patterns across VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, S3, and SQS within HIPAA-regulated production environments
β’ Partner with InfoSec to run and tune security scanning tools including Semgrep, Checkov, and Lacework and integrate them into delivery pipelines
β’ Build automation in Python or Node.js to reduce manual toil and eliminate repetitive operational tasks
β’ Implement self-scaling and self-healing configurations while strengthening CI/CD pipeline security and reliability
β’ Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, and the LGTM stack; participate in on-call rotations and blameless post-mortems
What We're Looking For
β’ Strong experience in AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS, IAM, S3, and SQS in production environments
β’ Strong experience in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices with modular design patterns
β’ Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python or Node.js
β’ Strong experience in SAST, DAST, or CSPM tooling alongside logging and monitoring systems
β’ Strong experience in VPC design, network security, and cloud security principles
β’ Strong experience in HIPAA, SOC2, or PCI-DSS compliance environments is a plus; Kubernetes/EKS and GitOps familiarity (ArgoCD, Flux) preferred
