Role description

The Enterprise Endpoint Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Mac Engineer with deep expertise in MDM platforms (Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune), strong systems administration capabilities, Apple Business Manager experience, and advanced troubleshooting skills. This engineer will design and implement macOS lifecycle management solutions, enforce security standards, and ensure smooth integration with enterprise systems while optimizing the end-user experience.
Our Mac Engineers play a critical role in closing service gaps, innovating device delivery processes, and automating manual workflows to increase reliability and reduce operational overhead. This role requires a highly analytical, proactive professional capable of diagnosing complex issues and delivering robust solutions.
RESPONSABILITIES
• macOS Engineering & Device Management
• Architect, deploy, and manage macOS device management solutions using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
• Own full macOS lifecycle management: provisioning, configuration, patching, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and policies to streamline onboarding, updates, and compliance enforcement.
• Package, deploy, and manage software and system updates across the enterprise.
• Security & Compliance
• Partner with security teams to enforce security baselines, configuration standards, and best practices.
• Participate in audits by providing documentation, reporting, and compliance support.
• Troubleshooting & Operations
• Lead troubleshooting for macOS hardware, software, and enterprise tool integrations.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support for macOS-related incidents.
• Monitor the production environment and ensure timely resolution of issues while owning problem-management responsibilities.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and IT support teams.
• Document processes, systems, runbooks, and engineering procedures.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, IT Operations, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support and improve enterprise endpoint solutions.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Automate manual processes to improve reliability and reduce operational cost.
• Stay current with macOS updates, MDM capabilities, and enterprise endpoint management best practices.
• Assist with architectural design, implementation planning, and operational improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of experience in macOS engineering and administration in a large-scale enterprise environment (10,000+ users).
• Expert-level experience with Jamf Pro (Policies, Smart Groups, Configuration Profiles, Scripts).
• Minimum certification: Jamf 200
• Preferred certification: Jamf 300
• Demonstrated experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
• Strong knowledge of macOS, iOS, tvOS, MDM practices, zero-touch deployment, automation workflows, and reporting.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python, AppleScript, Perl, or zsh).
• Deep understanding of macOS internals, security frameworks, and MDM protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Hands-on experience managing macOS devices via Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with identity and access management tools (Active Directory, Entra AD, PingFederate, etc.).
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, SOX).
• Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing.

The base range for this contract position is $56 - $66 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
