Job Summary
Our client, a leading airline organization, is seeking a Senior Engineer II to join their engineering team. This is a 4-month contract opportunity based in Fort Worth, TX, requiring a hybrid schedule of three days onsite per week. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable Java microservices, supporting production applications, and working within Agile DevOps environments.
Core Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Build high-quality, reliable software solutions that meet performance and scalability requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and effective debugging
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver software on schedule
• Design integrated systems that improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise production environments
• Strong experience developing Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Kafka
• Proven production support experience with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Kubernetes and containerized application deployment
• Redis
• Git and GitHub Actions
• Maven and JUnit
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Airline industry experience

Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $60.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
