Senior Engineer

Job Summary Our client, a leading travel and hospitality provider, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team! This is a 4-month contract position located in Phoenix, AZ, requiring onsite work three days per week. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise software solutions • Develop backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, GraphQL, NestJS, and Prisma • Build responsive and modern user interfaces using Angular, HTML5, CSS, and SASS • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deploy new features • Support application performance, observability, and reliability using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kafka, Dynatrace, and LogDNA • Mentor junior engineers while contributing to engineering best practices and continuous improvement Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) • 9+ years of software engineering experience designing and developing enterprise applications in production environments • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript • 5+ years of experience working with MongoDB • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and distributed applications • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kafka, or containerized cloud environments • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a collaborative Agile environment Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo GraphQL • Experience developing applications using NestJS • Experience using Prisma ORM • Experience with Cypress, K6, or automated testing frameworks • Experience with Dynatrace or LogDNA monitoring tools • Airline industry experience Key Competencies & Behaviors • Full Stack Software Engineering • Technical Leadership & Mentorship • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Analytical Problem Solving • Continuous Learning & Innovation Work Environment • Location: Phoenix, AZ • Hybrid: Onsite three days per week • Candidates must be willing to attend the final interview onsite. • Please note that this interview process includes multiple technical coding assessments. • Candidates should have recent hands-on development experience and be comfortable participating in live technical evaluations. Compensation & Benefits • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $60.00/hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
