

Senior Engineer
Salary: $60.00 to $65.00 hourly
Description
We are looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in DevOps to join our team on a contract basis in Orlando, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge platform systems, focusing on designing, integrating, and optimizing infrastructure to support diagnostics, troubleshooting, and predictive analysis. You will play a key role in developing and configuring a new system currently in progress.
Responsibilities
• Configure and manage clusters in environments with strict limitations, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Implement and maintain Rancher RKE2 solutions to support infrastructure needs.
• Utilize MetalLB as a Kubernetes load balancer for optimal performance.
• Develop and manage Docker containers and Helm charts to streamline application deployment.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate development workflows.
• Administer private container registries, such as Harbor, to ensure secure storage and distribution.
• Apply expertise in Chef to automate infrastructure configurations.
• Monitor and optimize NeuVector or other Kubernetes monitoring tools to enhance system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to platform systems.
• Conduct cluster analysis and support predictive analytics to improve system reliability.
Requirements
• Strong expertise in setting up and managing clusters under strict constraints.
• Advanced knowledge of Rancher RKE2 and Kubernetes load balancing tools like MetalLB.
• Proficient in Docker containerization and Helm chart development.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Familiarity with private container registries, such as Harbor.
• Skilled in using Chef for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of NeuVector or similar Kubernetes monitoring tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
