Senior Engineer – Trading Enablement Boston, MA (3 Days Onsite / Hybrid) About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer to join a strategic Trading Enablement team responsible for resolving critical technical challenges and delivering high-impact initiatives that directly support global investment operations. This is a senior-level opportunity for an engineer who thrives in complex environments, takes ownership of escalated issues, and plays a key role in strengthening the stability and scalability of trading systems. What You’ll Do Lead resolution of high-priority and complex technical incidents impacting global trading operations Investigate unfamiliar issues, research solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure system resiliency Contribute to a firm-wide Global Multi-Batch initiative to modernize overnight processing and enable accurate start-of-day and intraday visibility into holdings, positions, cash, FX, and analytics Partner closely with traders, portfolio managers, and investment professionals to deliver front-office aligned solutions Engineer across front-end, back-end, APIs, and databases to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability Mentor engineers and continuously improve development standards and best practices What You Bring 10+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Software Developer Strong computer science fundamentals and system design expertise Proficiency in modern development technologies such as .NET, C#, Java Deep experience with relational databases and API-driven architectures Ability to work across multiple tech stacks with strong architectural thinking Experience in investment management or trading systems preferred Experience with CRD (Charles River Development) highly valued Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with traders and portfolio managers Why This Role This is a high-visibility, business-critical engineering role where your work directly impacts global trading operations.
